1. Apply Sunscreen, Always and Often
The most important thing you can wear this summer is sunscreen. Look for an SPF 30 with “broad-spectrum” protection, which simply means that the sunscreen protects skin from both UVA and UVB rays. Both types of rays contribute to skin cancer, so stay protected when you’re out and about and don’t forget to apply it to your hands, feet, and even your ears!
2. Moisturize & Hydrate
This may seem counterintuitive, but your skin needs moisture in the summer just like it does in the winter. In the summer months your skin can easily become dehydrated, dry, red and irritated from the sun and salt water. You’ll also want to try a cold shower as it helps to decrease inflammation, relieve itchiness and tighten pores which will leave you with healthier looking skin.
4. Combat Oily Skin
‘Tis the season to slough away. If you have oily skin, slowly add more exfoliation into your skincare routine and increase the amount of days you exfoliate per week. 7. Get your Beauty Sleep
