Yes. All NULASTIN® formulas follow our Safe Science Standards℠—they’re dermatologist tested, formulated vegan, and cruelty-free. We avoid commonly excluded ingredients such as sulfates (SLS & SLES), parabens, formaldehydes, phthalates, talc, petrolatum, and mineral oil. Our biodesigned proteins and peptides are ethically sourced, and every formula is thoughtfully developed with skin and scalp compatibility in mind.

NULASTIN® products are cosmetics, not drugs, and do not require FDA approval. However, we take product safety seriously. Our formulas undergo third-party clinical evaluations, dermatologist and ophthalmologist testing (where applicable), and additional safety assessments such as RIPT (Repeat Insult Patch Testing) and EpiOcular studies. All ingredients are reviewed for safety and formulated in accordance with applicable U.S. cosmetic regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

NULASTIN® formulas are designed to be gentle and well-tolerated. However, if you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions, we recommend performing a patch test before full use. Apply a small amount of product to the inner elbow or behind the ear and allow it to dry. Monitor the area over 48 hours. For additional guidance, please refer to the product’s warning label located on the outer packaging.

NULASTIN® formulas undergo third-party clinical testing, including dermatologist and ophthalmologist evaluations (where applicable). In a 12-week study of the BROW Shape Altering Serum, no participants reported product-related adverse events.

In a clinical study of the HAIR Vibrant Scalp Treatment, a few participants noted temporary sensations such as tingling, mild itchiness, or sun sensitivity.

In a separate clinical trial of the LASH Follicle Fortifying Serum, some users reported mild reactions including tingling, stinging, itchiness, redness, watery eyes, or puffiness. Investigators reviewed each report, and in several cases, the symptoms were determined to be unrelated to the product. A few participants also reported temporary eyelid discoloration or other minor concerns, which resolved over time. All participants completed the study, with the exception of one subject.

As with any cosmetic product applied near the eye area, proper usage is essential. The LASH serum should be applied in a thin line along the upper lash line only, avoiding direct contact with the eye. If you wear contacts or have pre-existing sensitivities, it’s a good idea to consult your optometrist before starting use. Full ingredient lists are available on our website for your review.

When used as directed, the LASH Follicle Fortifying Serum is applied along the upper lash line and should not come into contact with the eye itself. The formula is designed to condition and enhance the appearance of lashes and brows. In ophthalmic safety evaluations, the product did not demonstrate potential for causing irritation to the eyelid or cornea.

Yes. When used as directed, NULASTIN® formulas are designed to be gentle and well-tolerated, including by those who wear contact lenses. As with any product applied near the eye area, avoid direct contact with the eyes and follow usage instructions carefully.

No. NULASTIN® topical formulas are completely hormone-free and do not contain drug ingredients such as Minoxidil or Finasteride.

Many hair products on the market today are designed to block DHT (dihydrotestosterone)—an androgen hormone responsible for biological characteristics traditionally associated with males, including a deeper voice, increased body hair, and greater muscle mass. While blocking DHT may be one approach to addressing hair thinning, it can also come with systemic effects and is typically associated with prescription or drug-based formulations.

Rather than interfering with hormones, our formula focuses on topical replenishment of key structural proteins, like elastin and keratin, to help nourish the scalp environment and support the appearance of stronger, fuller-looking hair. Shedding can be a natural part of the hair growth cycle. Hair—including lashes and brows—grows in phases:

Anagen (Growth Phase): Active growth stage. Lasts 30–45 days for lashes/brows and 2–6 years for scalp hair.
Catagen (Transition Phase): A short phase where follicles shrink and prepare to release the hair.
Telogen (Resting Phase): Hair is no longer growing and may begin to shed naturally.
Exogen (Release & Renewal Phase): Older hairs fall out as the follicle prepares to begin a new cycle.

If many of your hairs are already in the telogen or exogen phase when beginning NULASTIN®, you may notice increased shedding at first. This is a normal, temporary part of the renewal cycle. As new hairs emerge, they often appear fuller, stronger, and healthier-looking with continued use.

That said, every individual is different. If you experience ongoing or unusual hair loss that doesn’t resolve, we recommend pausing use and consulting a healthcare professional to explore potential underlying causes.

This is uncommon. However, a small number of users have reported noticing fine, light facial hair (often referred to as "peach fuzz") around the eye or cheek area after extended use. Because skin is a continuous surface, it's possible that product applied to one area may influence nearby hair follicles—particularly in individuals who may be more predisposed to visible vellus hair.

This occurrence is typically mild and temporary. If you’re concerned, we recommend applying the product sparingly and only to the intended areas. If needed, discontinuing use or adjusting your routine may help reduce the effect. For cosmetic maintenance, many people opt for methods like threading, waxing, or tweezing to manage fine facial hair.

As always, results may vary based on individual skin types, hormonal fluctuations, and usage habits.
